About me

I was graduated from the Industrial Engineering Department of Middle East Technical University, in Ankara and have a PhD degree from Maastricht Economic Research Institute on Innovation and Technology (UNU-MERIT). I have held academic positions in Maastricht University and Middle East Technical University, and I carried out post-doc studies in the University of Strasbourg and in Aix-Marseille University. I participated in major projects on innovation funded by the European Union and Agence Nationale de la Recherche (ANR), and worked in innovation related projects with various firms.

My research focuses mostly on innovation networks, a field of research at the intersection of social network theory and innovation studies.  I carry out agent-based simulation analysis exploring the processes of knowledge diffusion, network formation and evolution, among a large number of interacting agents, and have published in a range of journals on these topics.
